A Mother's Day Letter

Dear Mom,

Since I can't be with you this weekend, and couldn't bake you this as intended I am writing a letter that will have to suffice.

Thank you for all that you do. You wear many hats and you wear them well. I admire your strength, wisdom, and spirit. I will always aspire to be like you.

I have not been the easiest daughter to deal with over the years but you stuck it out and I appreciate that more than you will ever know.

Thank you for cleaning up after my messes, literally and figuratively. Thank you for being my psychiatrist when I needed and my shoulder to cry on when "the world seemed to be coming to an end". Thank you for showing me what it means to be a strong and independent woman. Thank you for showing me that life doesn't need to be taken so seriously and that being a free spirit is a good quality. Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for letting me be me, and loving me in spite of it.

I am forever grateful to the woman that gave me life.

I love you mom!

Happy Mother's Day!
